WRITTEN "HOW TO" INSTRUCTIONS

FIREPLACE OPERATION: The remote is mounted to the wall to the right right of the fireplace. To turn on the fireplace, push the button on the remote - it has a red symbol - to turn it on and off. Push it once to activate remote - it will light up - then push a second time to light the fire. Please do not remove the remote from in its case. We find this programmed setting is perfect.

FURNACE OPERATION: A Nest® thermostat is mounted on the wall, leading to the downstairs bedrooms - it lights up as you approach it. You can adjust the temperature by turning the dial left or right. Keep in mind, the upstairs gets considerably warmer than downstairs. We set the NEST® to 64º or less. When you leave, please dial the thermostat back to 50º (Winter).

GETTING IN: Our front door lock is electronic. YOUR personal passcode will be provided before your arrival. If it’s dark when you arrive, press the Schlage® logo on the top of the keypad to illuminate its numbers, then enter your code to unlock the door. Call Bob/Jill if you have an issue.

LOCKING THE DOOR: When you leave, pull the door closed, then push the Schlage logo. You will hear the door lock. Please double check that the door is locked before leaving.

ICE MAKER: So that you will have fresh ice, the ice maker will be emptied and turn off by the housekeeper. If you want ice, you’ll need to turn it on upon your arrival. Open the freezer, lift the ice compartment. There you’ll see a silver bar. When it’s UP it is OFF, when it’s DOWN it is ON.

KEURIG COFFEE MAKER: toggle the switch on the back, lower right side ON/OFF. The blue lights will power on and it starts heating the water. The display will read NOT READY until hot.

The water container easily lifts straight up and the black top comes off for easy filing. The blue lights will blink when the water container is not in place OR when the water level is low. Once the container is refilled and back in place, the blinking blue lights turn solid and you’re ready to brew.

K-CUPS are single use coffee k-cups you place inside the brewing receptacle. Lift the silver bar on the top of the Keurig. Place a k-cup in the round receptacle, printed label up, and push the silver bar down. You’ll see READY TO BREW on the display. Push the flashing blue button to brew. NOTE: If you place the k-cup BEFORE the water is hot, you may have to pull up the silver bar and close it again to brew.
Keurig turns automatically ON at 7Am and OFF at 9:30AM. If you’d like coffee another time, toggle the power switch ON/OFF manually. Brew size is pre-programmed to match the size of our white coffee cups, so they don’t overflow.
